spray with a sealant. polyurethane works well.

Dip them in ice cold water let them dry then spray them with a sealent.

was inside with water and amonia to kill bacteria and apply petroleum jelly to the edges that were cut. slows the drying. Good luck

Rub the outside with vegetable oil (or PAM). It will double the life of the pumpkin. If you did it now it would easily last till halloween.
